The Happiest Sadness I've Ever Cried

Spencer and I have been married for 3 years! May seem short--but in Logan we are the couple full of wisdom and marital experience. We began our journey in a tiny apartment with thin (very thin) walls and a driveway jam-packed with other couples' cars. The "door" separating our living room from the bedroom/office/dining room/kitchen, was actually no door at all. One ambitious day of mine, I hung a white curtain to give us a little separation. I was proud of it, until the screw holding up the rod gave way. Spencer ended up rehanging it later. Oops.

Logan was our town. We loved our apartment crammed with stuff and memories, but Logan was so much more to us. We were spoiled to have many canyons less than a 15 minutes drive away; perfect for cookouts, fishing, hiking, climbing, shooting etc. We craved the delicious deals at Old Grist Mill and felt blessed to have a temple within walking distance. Besides those things, wonderful as they all may be, my heart will forever be linked to the Logan people--the friends who became my Logan family. I drove out of Cache Valley my last day crying. My heart broke after saying goodbye to so many people who really knew and loved me. It was a strange feeling to experience--while overcome with sadness I also felt grateful for those people and what they taught me.

Spence and I are excited to be back in SLC. Spencer especially--he finally gets a dog because we have the space and a very kind Larry and Debby Larsen. We are closer to our families, who we love dearly! I myself am thrilled to be more involved in my nieces and nephews lives (already been to soccer games and a dance recital). I can't wait to spend more time with my sister and I'm looking forward to strengthening relationships with friends I've lost touch with. We are ready to add more memories to our journey and are hoping the happiness we feel already will expand. These are some of my favorite pictures from the last 3 years. Enjoy!
**Disclaimer**We didn't actually build the sandcastles, we only claimed them as our own--they were smashed shortly after the picture was taken
